Aroostook Knights greet Bishop Deeley

May 30, 2015 by admin

Presque Isle, Maine, 5/29/2015 7:00 p.m. Aroostook Knights gather to greet Bishop Deeley and welcome three young people into the Catholic Faith. Katelynn Bilodeau, Paul Gentile, [insert name here]. It was a celebration of pride and happiness for several reasons. First and foremost the long work of three young people to complete their entrance journey into the Catholic Faith Family culminated this day with their Confirmation Ceremony presided by Bishop Deeley.

There were firsts for Aroostook Fourth Degree as well, The first event under new Color Corps Commander Dan LaLonde and First Color Guard event for new 4th Degree Robert LaLonde. Those in attendance expressed their thankfulness of the Aroostook 4th Degree Attendance and the support of the Presque Isle Daughters of Isabella for the refreshments after Mass. Bishop Deeley commented that every time he visits we have more 4th Degree. A great testament to our work in the County!

Thanks to all of our 4th Degree members that could attend!

“Yes, we have Veterans Day in the fall, and Memorial Day in the spring. But our service men and women sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year, to preserve our freedoms.

At many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving, or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country. We honor our veterans every day. And we think there is no better time to express our appreciation, than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.”
